On June 9, 2019, in the artificial short circuit test site of Cambanor converter station (which is located in Hebei province). With an arc flicker, the Funo line with 535kV DC circuit breaker finished breaking and reclosing operation within 3ms. This test marks the successful completion of artificial short circuit test of 535kV DC circuit breaker jointly developed by Tsinghua University and Beijing General Electric Equipment Factory.

The innovative DC switching technology and key indicators have reached the international leading level. Manual short-circuit test is the most rigorous test item in the commissioning stage of DC power grid. The success of this test has verified the advanced DC switching technology and circuit breaker performance pioneered by Tsinghua University, which has laid a sound foundation for the formal operation of the project.
